I have not found any records of baptism, marriage or death for my great-great-great-great-grandmother Leonarda, but I know her first name from the 1759 marriage record of her son Antonino Butera, and that she was living at that time. This early record doesn't give Leonarda's surname. A married woman would be called "in" her husband's surname, hence Leonarda in Butera. |
