He has been employed at the district for the past nine years as a teacher, assistant principal and interim principal. He taught science at the middle school and served as a team leader and in the summer of 2000 assumed the leadership of the Regional Summer School.

Coniglio is a graduate of the University at Buffalo, with a degree in communications, and has his master's degree in education and a certificate in educational administration and supervision from UB.
